Time for a fresh start by joc221 Time for a fresh start by joc221
'Time for a fresh start' is the beginning of something new, or more an instance of forget the past and look to the future, new beginnings and outlooks. Piece was commissioned by an agency at the start of 2011 as a sign of a new beginning, to let everyone who enters the studio know what they are getting into. The piece was also selected to be published within the OFFF Festival 2011 book.

The suggester says reminds me of the fresh scent of citrus, a clever association.
The colors work great together and the use of 2 "strings of type" plays with your mind and makes this a piece with lots of details to find.

Great image, the coloring seems to make it feel 'fresh'. I love the way it wraps around itself and gives off a slight 3D effect, absolutely love it :+fav:

Very clever, and I like the whimsical feel to it. It'd be a good idea too, since it wouldn't be 2012 anymore and the world wouldn't end! My only critique is that the yellow doesn't stand out against the white background nearly as well as the orange, giving the first letter less "weight" than the rest of the phrase. I'd recommend a darker background color or pattern, or switching the yellow and orange colors.
